SONRISE STATION Activities

HORSE TREKKING

Ride our well mannered quiet hacks out on our working dry stock farm. Enjoy various routes over 1000 acres of rolling farmland, native bush and spectacular limestone country.

All levels of skill are welcome and we provide instruction during the ride.

Trekkers are able to enjoy quiet rides, great views and gentle tracks. For the more adventurous; cantering, jumping, swimming the horses, mustering the stock and heaps more.

MUD SLIDE

Fast, muddy and wet ….. not for the faint hearted.

A great activity for those with a need for speed. For the rest …. great laughs just watching.

MAGIC CARPET

Kitted up in your overalls try and ride the mat while being towed over the farm by the tractor. It’s great fun, safe and a real challenge to stand upright. Always a highlight at any camp.

FLYING SAUCER

Cruise along the paddock sitting on a plastic disk while being toed by the 4WD quad bike. Its fun, safe and great to watch as you become the unidentified flying object!

POSSUM AND RABBIT SHOOTING

Although these animals are a pest this activity only suits those that don’t mind blood and guts. A great night time adventure spotting with the torch.

ABSEILING

Have a go with our qualified instructor Dan. He sends you down some challenging drops that leave you wanting more. Experience not required for this activity. Fine weather only.

BUSH CHALLENGE

Negotiate a course through one of our most spectacular stands of native bush. Heaps of energy to burn and a sense of adventure makes this fun.

TARGET AND TRAP SHOOTING

Learn to be a crack shot with these two challenges.
